Principal Search Continues
Jan 2nd 2008The search for a principal to replace Mr. Cunningham will continue. The process by which a new principal is selected is known as the "C-30" process because it is defined in Section C-30 of the Regulations of the Chancellor, "Regulation Governing the Selection, Assignment and Appointment of Principals and Assistant Principals." The search that commenced in September did not result in the selection of a candidate. The Level I C-30 Committee, which consisted of six parent representatives, two students, two faculty, one staff member who is not faculty, a principal from a different school, and two alumni observers, was not able to recommend any of the candidates. Chancellor Klein's office has authorized a new C-30 that will start again in January, 2008. This time, we are hoping that the pool of qualified candidates will be much larger.
